Please join us for what may be the final Sterling College event.

Supported by Sterling College and funded by Vermont Humanities, this project interviewed 15 Sterling alums from different eras of the College’s history who live and work throughout Vermont. The interviews explored how former students have translated their education into work and lives that impact the Vermont landscape as farmers, educators, small business owners, ecologists, state workers, non-profit managers, carpenters, food system workers, artists, homesteaders, and more. Interviews, conducted by Sterling faculty member, Carol Dickson and graduating Sterling College student, Enoch Bernfield, focused on how interviewees’ experiences at Sterling have informed their work, their lives, their outlooks, and their environmental ethos.

At the presentation, Carol Dickson and Enoch Bernfield will share stories and observations that emerged from their conversations with alums, followed by a brief discussion of their observations and the next steps for the project. Light refreshments will be served.
