Jolwes Phanord, a current student at Sterling, self-designed an independent study about Environmental New Media. The whole point behind his independent study is using music as a simple way to convey environmental, social, and interpersonal messages people can relate to and digest. With consumer messages being simple and provocative, and environmental messages more complex, playing music can hopefully level the playing field so more people can feel included when thinking and talking about what is going on with our planet.
