The entire first floor of Kane, including the Admission Office, is getting a major face-lift. Offices were relocated starting in August 2015 as the first floor was gutted to the very wall studs. The renovations include a larger welcome center, more office space, and energy-efficient lighting.

The remodeled space is slated to open in the late fall of 2015, and will be renamed the David Behrend ’60 Admission Center. Behrend generously donated the funds for the renovations as, he said, “My education at Sterling changed my life.”

Tim Patterson, Director of Admission & Financial Aid, said, “My colleagues and I are immensely grateful to David Behrend for his generous support of the new center. We are excited to move into our newly renovated offices. The Behrend Admission Center will be a hive of activity as we ‘pollinators’ connect with the rapidly increasing numbers of prospective students who are interested in applying for admission to Sterling.”
