July 3, 2013 – Craftsbury Common, Vermont— It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Sterling College Trustee Rian Fried. Rian died on July 3, 2013, surrounded by family. He was 65 years old.

Statewide, he served on the board of the Vermont Community Loan Fund and the advisory board of Chittenden Bank’s Socially Responsible Banking Fund, and several other boards. His columns on financial affairs appeared in local and national newsletters, including the most recent issue of the Sterling College alumni magazine Common Voice.
