Seth Barr will be joining the Sterling College community in October as the Director of Work in Community. He will be reporting to the Dean of Community, Favor Ellis.
Barr comes to Sterling from Portland, Oregon. He believes that “work is a cornerstone for our sense of purpose and place.” He has a background in therapy, with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College, with an emphasis in Ecopsychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Westminster College. He was previously employed as a therapist for the Sexual and Gender Minority Youth Resource Center in Portland, as well as a veterinary technician at Two Rivers Veterinary Clinic.
Barr will be moving to Craftsbury Common with his wife, Leela, and his daughter, Arizona, along with various cats and dogs.
