Sterling College’s marketing team is kicking off another fabulous photography contest! This fall’s theme is “roots,” as in trees, tubers, onions, undyed hair, your origins…really anything you can tie to it! Creativity is a major plus when it comes to our judges, Beana Bern, Bianca Caputo, and Vanya Davydov.
All photos taken within the contest time frame (October 28th to November 11th at 11:59 p.m.) and in Craftsbury or an adjacent town will be eligible to win. (Sorry, late photos will not be accepted–so get those emails out before 12:00!) Two runners-up will each win a $5 gift certificate to the Craftsbury General Store, and the grand prize winner will receive a Genny gift certificate for $20! That’s like…a pizza! Or a case of beer and some snacks! Or a beautiful mug to send your mom for the holidays!
Do I have your interest yet? I know, it was the beautiful mug, right? If you want a shot at winning this thing (and who doesn’t?!), get your photos taken, edited, and cropped, and email them to yours truly at [email protected]. Please include the date and location of your photos in the email, and limit yourself to three entries! We’d love to see all of your fascinating photography work, but we want to keep it fair for those students who just can’t spend hours outside with a camera. (Pssst…if you don’t have a digital camera, contact me and I can help with scanning photos and getting them onto the interwebz.)
Keep an eye on sterlingcollegephotocontest.tumblr.com to see your photos and your competitors’ photos go up. On November 13th, our esteemed judges will choose a winner, and we will announce the winner (and runners-up) that afternoon. The winning photos will also be published in our first ever Understory, and winners will also be announced in the e-news.
