Liz’s Fudgy Brownies

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 big cup of flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • too many chocolate chips or walnuts

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup of veg/neutral oil
  • a little glug of vanilla extract


Mix together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, blend wet ingredients. Boil 1/2 cup hot water, or better yet, leftover coffee. Add wet ingredients to dry, and smoosh into an oiled 13×9 pan. It should be messy. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes, or until middle is sort of gooey and edges are crisp and fragrant. Don’t bother waiting to cut and cool. Enjoy hot with a good glass of milk.
