Over ninety families, alumni, and prospective students came to Craftsbury Common for a perfect fall weekend October 2–4, 2015, for Sterling Days. Sterling Days combine Open House, Reunion, and Family Weekend for combined fun and learning about what’s going on at the Sterling College campus.
Visitors were encouraged to push their boundaries with new activities, just as Sterling College students accept challenge every day.
Activities included a stint at the climbing wall with faculty member in Outdoor Education John Zaber ’85; a tour of the Rian Fried Center for Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems with Director Charlotte Rosendahl; a draft horse workshop with Rick Thomas, faculty member in Sustainable Agriculture; a tour of Cedar Swamp with faculty member in Ecology Farley Brown ’85; a reception with President Matthew Derr at Cedar Cottage; and, of course, the talent show, where families, alumni, and students performed for each other in Dunbar.
