Semester Exchange Programs & Articulation Agreements
Sterling offers two ways to remain enrolled and pursue programs at other institutions:
Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Waitsfield, Vermont offers courses, certificate programs, and a semester program in construction, woodworking, architectural craft, and sustainable design. Most of these are eligible for Sterling credit. Students must apply separately to Yestermorrow; if accepted you would remain enrolled at Sterling. Vermont Semester Exchange
The Association of Vermont Independent Colleges (AVIC) sponsors a semester exchange program among fourteen participating independent colleges in Vermont. Applying students should be juniors in good academic standing and should express interest during the preceding semester so that applicable home and host institution timelines can be met. In special circumstances, sophomores may be admitted to the program. Information about the AVIC exchange program can be found here.
