Margaret Sterling Society

The Margaret Sterling Society honors individuals who have made provisions for the College in their estate plans, including bequests, life income gifts, life insurance and retirement plans. Named after Sterling College’s namesake, The Margaret Sterling Society welcomes members whose gifts build on the past and make a mark on the future.

Members of the Margaret Sterling Society have expressed their commitment to Sterling College through a very special and important form of financial support. These donors have named Sterling as the ultimate beneficiary of a planned gift. Such gifts might include a bequest and/or charitable income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable remainder annuity trusts, or gifts of life insurance.

Your membership involves no dues, obligations, or solicitations, but it does allow Sterling College to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made, and it may inspire generosity in others.

Benefits of membership in the Margaret Sterling Society also include annual luncheons during Alumni Reunion, and invitations to other special events. The most important benefit, however, you will receive from joining the Margaret Sterling Society is the satisfaction derived from making a lasting contribution to our long-term prosperity.

To inquire about joining the Margaret Sterling Society or informing the College of your planned giving arrangements, please contact Micki Martin at (802) 586-7711 x 101 or at mmartin@sterlingcollege.edu.
