Tuition and Fees 2012-2013

teachingoel

We make every effort to support students who make the choice to attend Sterling College.  A Sterling education combines traditional and field-based study, a liberal arts approach encompassing an environmental focus, internship opportunities and world-wide experiences. The value of a Sterling College education is equal to the motivation of each individual student, and financial aid makes it all possible.

Did you know…

  • All students determined to have financial need receive financial assistance
  • In 2011, the average financial aid award, per semester, was $10,500
  • All Sterling students who live on campus earn $800 per semester in tuition credit for their participation in the Work Program.  Students on internship are eligible to earn an additional $600.
  • For all eligible full-time enrolled students, the average Sterling College Aid Package plus the expected family contribution exceeds direct costs.
  • For students who remain continuously enrolled, tuition, room and board costs do not increase.
    • Sterling is a year-round college; we admit students in all three semesters, fall, spring and summer. There is no requirement to engage in the year-round curriculum, and many students do stay with the traditional fall and spring schedule.  Federal and Sterling College student financial aid programs are available year-round.
    • To be continuously enrolled means a student attends two-and-a-half or three full semesters in a 12 month period. A half semester consists of six to eight credits, and a full semester from 12 to 15 credits.
    • The year-round system is designed to broaden the College’s curriculum, reduce the overall expense of a Sterling education, and potentially shorten the length of time it takes to complete a BA degree.
