Sterling College recognized as AEE Organizational member of the Year

Sterling College has been selected as the Association for Experiential Education's organizational member of the year. The Association for Experiential Education (AEE) is a nonprofit, professional membership association dedicated to the promotion and support of experiential education. AEE has over 1,300 members in 30 countries from Canada and Mexico to Hong Kong and Japan. Bob MacArthur, long standing member of AEE, nominated Sterling for the member of the year award. In his nomination letter he wrote:
"Sterling is a small place, but its influence is large. With a curriculum that incorporates [Kurt] Hahn's pillars of adventure, service and craftsmanship, a student body grounded in experiential education and a faculty that is actively engaged in AEE as well as the world beyond the campus, Sterling more than meets the criteria for the award."
Representatives from Sterling received this honor at the 35th Annual International AEE Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas.
