Internet Access
Sterling College has a dedicated T1 internet connection bonded with a pair of high-speed digital subscriber lines providing for reliable and fail-safe internet access on campus.   Our current bandwidth management policy restricts access to file sharing and streaming media content only when more than 80% of our bandwidth is being used for such purposes. This allows us to offer the campus unfiltered internet access while assuring that these bandwidth intensive activities do not totally disrupt other users. Unrestricted access to the internet is offered over our campus-wide ethernet and wireless network.

Campus Network
All computers on campus are connected to an enterprise class managed network which provides faculty, staff, and students with secure computer and email accounts.  The network is Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, and Linux friendly, and offers reliable access to data storage, file sharing, and other digital resources. High speed wireless access to this network is available in all main academic buildings and student residences.
