Position: Project Coordinator (52 weeks)

Salary: $27,700 - $40,040 (pending funding)

The Eat Local Sudbury Co-operative is dedicated to promoting the purchase and consumption of local foods in Sudbury, ON. We will be opening a unique, ground-breaking local food retail store this summer and are seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to oversee all aspects of this project including:

* Merchandizing, housekeeping and restocking retail store
* Sourcing local food products as required and maintaining good relationships with farmers/suppliers
* Overseeing store set-up, product placement, equipment purchase etc
* Overseeing promotional and educational events
* Overseeing marketing and communications activities
* Development of business plan for store expansion
* Development of funding proposals for store expansion
* Bookkeeping
* Supervision of 1-2 staff members
* Member Recruitment & relations
* Administrative duties
* Reporting to the Board of Directors on a regular basis

Qualifications

* Degree/diploma in Business or a related field
* Knowledge of local food issues and/or agriculture
* Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision
* Strong inter-personal and communications skills
* Ability to conduct interviews with the media
* Demonstrated skills in researching and writing
* Excellent computer skills including (e.g. Word, Excel, Access and desktop publishing)
* Experience working or volunteering with non-profit organizations an asset
* Knowledge of accounting
* Experience in sales an asset
* Bilingualism an asset
