Position: Food Manager

Location: Heriot Bay, Quadra Island, British Columbia

Spirit of the West Adventures based on Quadra Island, BC, is seeking a Food Manager.

Our long time food manager of 7 years is moving on and we are looking for a hard working and dynamic individual to become a part of our team.

Personal Qualities:
- someone with a positive outlook and a sense of fun
- a self starter and able to problem solve
- ability to muti-task
- quick learner
- hard worker
- honest and trustworthy
- food safe certificate (or willingness to take the course)
- willingness to tackle any necessary job
- valid drivers license

The Job:
- packing out food for multi-day sea kayak camping trips
- ability to prepare food for different dietary restrictions i.e. vegetarians, vegans, allergies etc.
- baking and prep of some foods for consumption on first few days of trip
- ordering of and shopping for food and supplies
- full time work from last week of May until end of September
- hourly wage to be negotiated upon experience
- set your own hours as long as the work gets done
- child friendly setting
