When Sterling alumni gather, they tend to put their minds and hands to work to imprint their event with something authentic and meaningful. Our College is intentional in its focus and execution, and we strive to create events that reflect that intention.
One of the best ways for alumni to connect and remain connected to their contemporaries and to the College itself is to attend one of our events.
Though Sterling alumni are encouraged to visit Craftsbury anytime of year, two events give alumni the chance to return to the Common for alumni-specific activities.
Winter Rendezvous: Join faculty, staff, students, and your contemporaries on the first Saturday in February for a day of skiing, sledding, cider, and snacks followed by a celebratory dinner in the heart of the Craftsbury Winter. Winter Rendezvous celebrates everything that makes the College wonderful: meaningful enjoyment of the outdoors, delicious local food, and–of course–a strong sense of community. Families are welcome, and the College will work with the Craftsbury Outdoor Center to arrange equipment rentals for those who care to travel without skis and sleds.
Reunions: Sterling College intends to celebrate the start of its 60th year with its next reunion in June of 2017. The nascent Sterling Alumni Board has been formed around the task of producing the best possible reunion for all Sterling alumni: those who attended the School, the Institute, and the College. Updates on events, programming, and specific dates will follow. If you’re interested in helping shape the reunion by joining the Board, contact Alumni Relations staff below.
