Irrespective of our formal education tracks, and regardless of our best-laid plans, we may all sometimes find our way blocked by unexpected obstacles, uncertain circumstances, and seemingly impassable terrain. We absolutely can cultivate practices to identify, assess, and move out of these "stuck" places, and thereby resume the pursuit of our various life goals. This course seeks to lead students on a transdisciplinary, transformative adventure considering resilience, vulnerability, and bravery. We will explore tools and ideas drawn from the emerging fields of ecopsychology, ecofeminism, embodiment studies, transformative language, and spirituality, with intent to develop compassion, emotional resiliency, and trust.
