Course Description

This course is about trail running—it is about learning, planning, route-finding, building fitness, strengthening connections between the body, mind, and place, and making trail, mountain, and adventure running part of one’s life. We will meet at the margins of the day: early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend meetings for longer excursions. Students should anticipate approximately 30 hours of trail time over the course of the 10-week semester.
