This course explores the effects of agricultural policies throughout US history. We will investigate the evolution of conservation, food security, commodity, energy, organic, and international trade policies within the context of the changing American society. This team-taught course considers the implications of current policy for the future of sustainable agriculture through lectures, discussions, field trips, debates, panel discussions, and student presentations.
