We have established a strong partnership with many environmental
organizations and agencies; during the last 24 years:
- 52 sites have hosted 2 interns
- 33 sites have hosted 3-5 interns
- 6 sites have hosted over 5 interns
- 20 interns were supervised by, or worked with, Sterling Alumni

- 58 federal agencies, including National Forests, National Parks, and National Wildlife Refuges
- 18 state agencies
- 94 educational organizations including environmental, outdoor adventure, classroom, and interpretative
- 112 agricultural producers
- 24 environmental advocacy organizations
- 21 wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary medicine, and animal shelter organizations
- 30 for-profit “green” businesses
- 36 research institutions
- Several national organizations including The Sierra Club, National Audubon Society, PETA, Heifer Project International, The Nature Conservancy, Outward Bound, and NOLS
