Global Field Study in Lapland

Travel above the Arctic Circle to Sapmi, as the indigenous Sami call their homeland in Scandinavian Lapland, and explore the marine, forest, and tundra lifestyles of traditional reindeer herders. Discussions with researchers and villagers and visits to rock art sites and cultural centers complement the study of arctic flora and fauna. (Fall-3 credits)
