Environmental Graduate Program Index
The following index lists graduate degree programs by field. This list was compiled based on the general interests of Sterling students and alumni, thus the programs are in fields of resource management, environmental sciences, outdoor education and leadership, agriculture, social justice, environmental policy, etc (see list of fields below).
As with any decision, addressing the question of whether or not to consider graduate school will require careful reflection. Considering your personal, educational, and career goals is the first step towards making your decision. You may wish to begin by assessing your interests, skills, and values; to begin write down answers to the following questions:
- What career fields are you interested in?
- Have you researched career fields of interest? Have you learned about educational requirements, the types of duties you might expect, salaries, the potential job market, etc?
- What are your personal and professional long-term goals?
- What are your personal and professional short-term goals? How do you intend to reach them?
- How does your undergraduate degree fit into your career goals?
- How would a graduate degree help you meet your career goals?
When contemplating such questions, you may want to visit the Career Resource Center to find out where to research positions and career fields. Discussing career options with CRC staff may also be helpful. Please contact us if you would like to chat or just drop by! You could also
check out graduate school information online at the Peterson's Graduate Planner.
