CRC RESOURCES AND SERVICES
The CRC is full of resources pertaining to the interests of Sterling College students and alumni. Below you will find information about the resources that are made available to you.

Graduate Program Index

The Graduate Program Index, created by the CRC staff, is a list of environmental graduate programs with direct links to the graduate schools' web site. The CRC also has Graduate Record Exam (GRE) information, preparation materials, and graduate assistantship information.

Internet Links

The CRC staff has identified hundreds of helpful Internet Links for Sterling College students and alumni from environmental listserves to professional organizations to scholarships. This extensive list has been screened and is a great resource for internship, career, study abroad, and graduate school information.

Internship Database

The CRC staff maintains a database of over 3,000 environmental internships. Students can customize their search for internships on the database by geographic region, field of work, type of work, and/or compensation.

Mock Interviews
Students seeking more preparation in the job search process have the opportunity to participate in a mock interview. A variety of interview situations can be created to prepare students in acquiring the job they want. Contact Jennifer Payne to schedule an appointment.

Resume/Cover Letter Critiques
The CRC staff can assist you with resume and cover letter editing. Please send us an e-mail or stop by the CRC during normal business hours.

Every week between September and May the CRC staff consolidate announcements of jobs, internships, conferences, workshops, and other career related opportunities that may be of interest to Sterling College students and alumni.

CRC EVENTS
Every year the CRC plans a multitude of career related events. Below you will find information regarding upcoming events.

Annual Environmental Career Fair
Thursday, March 13, 2008
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Dunbar Dining Hall

Organization representatives from all over New England will be on hand to meet students and the public to discuss potential internships, research projects, and employment opportunities. This event is free and open to the public. If you know an organization that would like to join us, please have them contact the CRC.

Senior Exit Interviews
Interviews typically occur in February and each individual interview last 30-45 minutes long. This is a great opportunity for you to discuss life after Sterling College. Bring a copy of your resume. Check back for specific interview dates and times.

Senior Send-Off Series
Workshop topics will be based on the needs and wants of seniors determined by Senior Exit Interviews. The series will be scheduled for late April and early May. Check back for specific workshops and times.

All presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Simpson 3 of Simpson Hall on the following dates:

Career Chats
Career Chats are an opportunity for Sterling alumni to discuss with students, faculty, and staff how Sterling prepared them for the careers they currently hold. These chats occur in the CRC during either a lunch or dinner throughout the school year.

Recruiter Visits
This is a time for students to meet with organizations that are searching for interns, students, or employees.
