Perry Thomas

Ph.D., Biology, Northern Arizona University, 1995 • M.A., Teaching Biology, Northern Arizona University, 1990 • B.A., Biology, Dartmouth College, 1983

Perry Thomas has practiced the art of science education since 1983, when she first experienced the power of engaging students in authentic field research projects. Perry works with student teams to investigate the relationship between geomorphology and ecology of mountain landscapes, with local field sites on Mt. Mansfield. She is regularly involved in conferences and workshops related to ecological education. On snowy winter days, when not working, Perry can often be found exploring mountains—on snowshoes or skis—with her husband, Rick, and their daughter, Thalia.
